Team MMPI runs a feeding program and the Jiggy Manicad TV Lectures series. For the feeding program, it has already reached nearly a thousand public school children in Laguna, Bulacan and Tacloban, mostly victims of supertyphoon Yolanda. They also distributed school supplies and toys for these kids.
The Jiggy Manicad TV Lectures on the other hand, is a free lecture series on journalism. Its primary goal is to promote free learning by sharing experiences from the field.
In partnership with the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the US Embassy and UNESCO-Manila office, to date, it has reached close to 10,000 students from UP campuses of Diliman, Los Banos and Cebu, Miriam College, FEU, CEU, STI, UST, Adamson University, and various public schools in Laguna.
It has also served out-of-school youths in the Smokey Mountain area.
In addition, Team MMPI built and gave a decent home for a family residing along the Pasig River Floodway, who were victims of typhoon Ondoy.
